     1. INSTALLING THE PLUGIN

*****************************************************************

To install the plugin, unzip the files into the Morrowind/Data Files
directory.

*****************************************************************

     2. PLAYING THE PLUGIN

*****************************************************************

Note that there are 2 esp files in the zip. Check the box next to the one
that best fits your playing style in the game launcher.
- BAR_Comp_Arya_v1.3.esp - enforces the 100-point cap on all stats/skills
  affected by the level-up system.
- BAR_Comp_Arya_v1.3_NoCap.esp - does not enforce this cap, allowing the
  companion to advance without restriction.

This mod adds a female wood elf named Arya Moonleaf living in a yurt near
Khuul who will join the player. For the location of her yurt, see the
screenshot included in the download (Arya's Yurt - location.jpg).

Arya includes companion share, a version of Grumpy's warping script, and
a variation of the auto-healing feature that was introduced with my own
Mage Companion Kendra mod. In addition, she will automatically cast her
levitation and waterwalking spells whenever the player uses a similar
effect. She will then dispel those effects when the player's similar spell
expires, though in the case of levitation she will wait 10 seconds for her
own safety.

Arya's highest skills include Unarmored, Light Armor, Spear, Marksman, and
Short Blade. Her Medium and Heavy armor skills are purposely kept relatively
low, so she will not equip medium or heavy armor when it is given to her unless
you are using the version of the mod that enforces the skills cap and her medium
and heavy armor skills reach a level close enough to the unarmored and light
armor skills.

**Note: Arya's medium and heavy armor skills are adjusted through the level-up
system, so don't bother trying to set those skills with the console to cheat
your way around the above limitation.

Arya's face and hair are from Better Heads v1.1, by Motoki. The mesh and texture
files are included in the mod, for those who don't use Motoki's face replacer, but
don't worry, cause I created new body parts so they won't screw anything up.

     3. Save Games

*****************************************************************

This plugin should not invalidate your old saved games. If you remove the
plugin from a game already in progress, you will have to click through
all those error messages. However, you should be able to continue on afterward.

**Note: As a rule, you should backup all your saves before using this or any
other plugin, as a precaution against any strange error you might encounter.

*****************************************************************

     4. Known Issues/Conflicts

*****************************************************************

I placed Arya's yurt in a fairly secluded spot, so there shouldn't be many
conflicts (if any at all).

     5. Revisions

*****************************************************************

Version 1.3:
- Fixed a glitch in the leveling code concerning the Bethesda "72 hours bug"
which resets companions to their original stats if the player has no contact
with the them for 72 hours or more of game time.
- Fixed a couple of very minor dialog issues.

Version 1.2:
- Fix the dialog greetings yet again based on advise from Emma in an effort
  to avoid potential conflicts.

Version 1.1:
- Fixed a dialog issue that can break several quests when playing
the mod with only the Bloodmoon expansion
** Note: The issue fixed in this version did not affect anyone running
just Tribunal or Tribunal and Bloodmoon together.

     6. Credits

*****************************************************************

Grumpy - for his wonderful warping script. Thanks to him, companions have
actually become useful.

Grumpy, Emma, and anyone else who has created a companion mod. Without you
guys, it never would have occurred to me to do this mod.

Motoki - author of Better Heads v1.1, from which I got Arya's face and hair.

Rhedd - The original creator of Arya's hair.

Gorg - The original creator of Arya's face.

Bethesda Softworks - for providing the community with this awesome game.

And a special thank you to those who responded to my thread asking for
opinions on the stat cap issue and the location of the yurt. You know
who you are.
